PUBLICLY TRADED MORTGAGE COMPANY RECEIVER

Receiver, Public Company, and Litigation

Litigating shareholders in a $100 million dollar publicly traded mortgage company led to a request for, and the appointment of, a neutral Receiver to safeguard the Company from the effects of the dispute. A Senior EGI Director was appointed as the Receiver by a Superior Court Judge.

While serving as Receiver, he coordinated with various legal counsel for the Company involved in: (a) the main shareholder dispute, (b) ongoing customer litigation, (c) SEC inquiries, and (d) a threatened bankruptcy filing. Continue Reading
